For those of you that may be interested, I've now found the article I
mentioned in Custom Installer and include a very brief (although sorry if
it's too big for the list) summary of it including a kit list.

London based installation specialist SMC was approached by architects Alan
Higgs to see if they would be willing to work with them on this very
charitable cause. All of the companies were expected to contribute their
time and, where possible to find the hardware at no cost, too.

The first part of the job was getting commitment for as much kit as
possible, then designing the system around what was available. Industry
association CEDIA canvassed its members (installers, manufacturers and
distributors) to see who would eb willing to make a contribution to the
project.

With a plasma from Relysis, control system from Systemline, Access system
>from

and installation resources from Sound Ideas, Graham’s Hi-Fi and Smartcomm,
the possibility a full-blown state of the art system soon became a reality.

The security system also required a high degree of co-operation and
teamwork
to deliver a finished system complete with entry system and intruder alarm.

Because of limited resources and the very limited timescale, engineers from
the manufacturers and distributors ended up working side by side with those
>from
undertaking, the whole project was completed in under 6 months (SMC started
in June and signed of in October).
