Yes, it is.

I did read the article and would also be interested in Dans comments on
this.  I still haven't found any manufacturers
of cat 8 and the standard still hasn't been agreed, as far as I know.

Is this the same Digital Home magazine that a member of UKHA reported as
saying:

"For a really serious networked home you would have to look at flood
wiring
the rooms with cat 8 cable using RJ45 outlets".

?

If it is, and that is actually what was written (I haven't seen the mag),
then could the editor explain the reasoning behind picking Cat 8 cable?
