Re: Netgear Switches

My entire network (with the exception of one wireless point and the
apple airport cards) is based around Netgear kit, three switches, two
ME102 Access Points, 3 Wireless Cards and i've never had any problems.

Their after-sales support is also great, the only problem I ever had
was a power supply dying on one of the access points (after it was out
of warranty), it was replaced quickly (and then about 2 weeks later I
got a whole new access point... probably a mistake but when I tried to
explain it they didnt take it back :P)

We use a 24 and 48 port with Gigabit modules at work as well, and they
perform great.

Just my opinion, no doubt someone has a Netgear horror story but its
great kit (well built physically too - at least the old metal stuff was
- not sure about the new plasticy switches/routers for the home/small
office market) especially at the price!
