RE: Re: C-Bus Course

Paul,

I would suggest all that is required is a keen interest.

An understanding of PCs is an advantage; you need to provide a laptop
with an RS232 port and CD-ROM to connect to the board.

Some experience of wiring, simple stuff, just connecting a few bits
together.

Some experience of programming things using a GUI (Graphical User
Interface) but then again this is what the course is for...

The course I attended had a range of people (it had the maximum 9
attendees) who were all keen to help each other, there were S/W people,
electricians, integrators and me who wants to install in his own
house...

We did all exchange e-mails and there was the promise of a user group
but this hasn't happened yet... I think anyone interested would find the
course useful (plus you get your money back in kit (although I can't see
me using the PIR, it's butt ugly)).

HTH

Are there any pre-requisits (sp??) for the course? Have an
electronics degree and know how to wire a plug lol but don't have any
commercial interest in becoming an installer or anything, just want
to implement in new house when I get it.

Can someone post the details of how you sign up for the course?

Cheers

Paul
