Keith,

I sent you my phone number off list, as this process is best talked
through,
and is quite common on Win2k Pro after installing SP4. You probably would
have got another error first too.

Basically the procedure is to bring up task manager (Ctrl + shift + Esc.)
Select File, New Task, and type "explorer.exe" in the box (no
quotes), this
will run explorer manually.

Then just reinstall SP4, job done. If this doesn't fix the problem, there
are other things to look at, but like I say, they are best talked through.

HTH

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Unfortunately I do not have access to private email from work so
cannot get at it. Due to time constraints we have blatted the machine
and started from scratch. We only need a couple of applications on it
and reliability is the most important criteria at the moment so new
build it is.

Thanks for trying to give me the answer though

Regards

Keith
