I just found out about a box called the destacker/stacker which allows
you put 2 sat IF feeds down the one cable and then split them apart
again -

Has anyone heard of this unit and would like to comment?

You are correct, the Quattro/Switch combination isnt NEEDED until you
want
more than 4 receivers. On my analogue systems, I could have used a
couple of
TWIN output LNB's instead of Duals and a switch as each of the two
receivers
I had at the time has two LNB inputs but that would have meant two
cables to
each receivers instead of the one that I already had. I'm glad I took
the
dual/switch route as I later got another couple of single input
receivers
and was able to use them for free to air Astra/Eutelsat as well. As an
added
bonus the spare LNB input on my main receiver was used for a homemade
motorised dish that I used to plonk onto a scaffold pole fixed in the
front
garden. When not in use as a satellite mount I had a bird table that
used to
fit on the top of the pole.
