Hi Paul,
I forgot to menion in my email response to you as well. There is a
new update to Flash that should be coming out anytime. It
supposedly boast speed improvement of 2-10x. So I'm really excited
about what you'll see in the next update. :)
This is probably a little more graphics intensive than most other
apps out there. I really haven't had a chance to go in and
streamline some of the graphics which might aid in speed delivery as
well.
I think the key is not adding a 1000 songs to your playlist, because
that slows down Media Center 9 inherently slowing the Pocket PC down.
The Pocket PC version is just the icing on the cake. Check out what
will be included in the full version of MusicLobby that's nearing
completion:

The big winner is the Music Jukebox that functions just like the
ones in the bars which I'm sure many of you probably have a lot of
experience operating. :)
Put another dime in the jukebox and you'll get three credits.
Select three songs by typing in the album number and track (or just
press the song title) and you are out of credits. Just press the
coin to add more and continue selecting songs. This is really
geared towards touchscreens with its large push buttons.
The only thing this jukebox is missing is an actual money slot. And
by the way, you could actually add one if you wanted to. I don't
think your friends would appreciate it though. :)

I've currently got 49933 tracks in the music library which makes
loading the artist/album lists etc a little slower (but no slower
than other apps I use). Can't get the PPC version to work though -
MJ on the server maxes the server out and nothing is returned to the
PPC :-(
