Hi Darko,

I've had trouble in the past using a 5m DVI cable - My monitor (a
Sony LCD) either wouldn't display anything at all, or it displayed
the image with lots of 'corruption'. I returned the 5m cable and
switched to a 3m cable and everything was fine.

I guess that it depends very much on your graphics card's ability to
drive the cable, the monitor's sensitivity to a weak signal, and the
quality of the cable you're using. I was using a (comparatively)
cheap cable, so that may have been the cause of my problems.

I'd suggest doing a search of www.avforums.com and www.avsforum.com -
There are plenty of threads there about this particular issue.

Whatever you decide, make sure the cables you buy can be returned if
they don't work out!

Regards,

Chris.
