No problem. It's a difficult question to answer fully as the commanders
come with a number of modules and options. Certainly home lan will be a
breaze just plug your router into the hub in your commander and you
should have your home network up and going. (OK slightly more technical
than that, but you know what I mean.)

As for SKY, FTA then that will depend if the video distro option is
installed, if it is then your RF feed from the boxes will go into the
distro amp and be available in all rooms. Again how many 'inputs' you
have will depend on the Commander options installed. If I remember
correctly the Comander has NO IR distro capabilities so you would need
to allow for a third party solution using RF2 via the coax or a
hardwired IR system form the likes of Xantech.

I have a PDF of their product cat kicking around somewhere if you want
it. Mail be off list.

Many thanks

Cheers Rob,

As I said - we certainly didn't buy the house because of the system,
and while the concept of HA certainly interests me, funds won't quite
permit me to explore it further at the moment.

My main concern is how the system might affect what I might want to
install in the house myself, especially in the way of DVB-S (Sky & a
FTA receiver) distribution and the home LAN. I realize I could quite
easily ignore the box's presence, but that would seem to be a waste,
so I was wondering how I could use the very neat cabling already
installed to my advantage. Here's hoping it comes with an instruction
manual!

Ta

Iwan
