Hi Graham

Do you live anywhere near the coast? Bamboo poles are used a lot as
dahns by fishing boats, i.e. crabbers and gill netters. I've used them a
lot in the past. At times we bought around 20 or 30 from different
suppliers in England. They would have been around 10 to 20 foot in
length and various thicknesses. The price did increase quite a bit for
the heavier ones, and I don't know if anyone used 3" thick ones.
Although the same suppliers should be able to get the heavier ones for
you.

Very off topic (although could lead to automated irrigation ;-) I need
to get about 15 bamboo poles, each 10 foot long by about 3 inch diameter
to be used in some garden construction. Anyone know where I could get
some?

Graham
