Re: C-Bus and Wire-wound transformers - HELP

Well, I tried more transformers than I care to remember, and I can say
with confidence that there is no such thing as a transformer rated above
105VA that is suitable (or recommended by Clipsal) for use with C-Bus.

I have, however, found a great solution. We're ripping out all the LV
lighting and putting in a 240V hi-wire system. It's distributed by a
company called Green Island, it looks superb and it's absolutely
SILENT!!! As each cable includes live and neutral, you even have the
potential to run two separate circuits on the same cable run. It's sad
that I can get so excited about something like this, but after the
racket we've been living with, this is amazing, and looks so cool.

For anyone in the Maidenhead area trying to sort out lighting, I can't
recommend D.J.Lighting highly enough. They've gone well beyond the call
of duty trying to find a solution and letting me take all sorts of kit
to try, and they came up with this idea.

As for C-Bus and transformers, maybe you're OK with individual
transformers, but for anything bigger, the simple answer is don't
bother. Get HV lighting - it's so much easier.

Cheers,

Bruno
