Help me please before 'er indoors' lays claim to my living room recess

I had reserved to put up some glass shelving to house my A/V equipment.
Typically the recess width is 90cm and I'm looking at putting up slick
glass
shelving with ultra violet neons cut into a groove behind the shelf....
Typical load will be upto 20kgs(eek).
Where do I start ? What options do I have ? Decent suppliers of glass and
brackets ? Help ! She's already laid claim to my plasma space !
