Pronto vs. PDA (Dell axim)

Any comments or experience over which to get?

My wife just phoned to say that she has reserved one of three remaining
RU940's
But thought she'd check with me before buying it.

My thoughts are
Pronto :  'Dedicated' remote,  loads of help info from the web

Axim (with PDAWin 5.5) : I've no experience of PPC devices (I'm a palm
user)
and the device will be devoted to full time remote duty.  I've just had a
play with the Win32 version of netremote and it looks really good - but
doesn't currently support IR from the handheld, and putting a RedRat on a
server is asking for trouble if it goes wrong while I'm not there to fix it
:-O

I've tried the various palm 'remote' applications - but it's just not very
friendly on the small screen of a Palm Vx


30mins to make up my mind....

Yesterday the Pronto was my fav. now I'm looking at the PPC and thinking it
could do so much more...

HELP!
