Re: Whole house audio and MP3 server question

I am in the process of installing a WHA setup using a central MP3 server
and
PC's as 'client' players around the house.

On the MP3 server is IIS5 with OneWeb www.oneweb.co.uk
The client PC's boot up straight into a browser looking at the MP3 server
as
its home page and the whole play list is displayed - in my house, simply
choose
a genre, artist, album, song or play all and that will be played in that
room.

I also intend to have full house audio where all the pc's play the same
track
at the same time - excellent when having a party and you don't want to have
the
music so loud that you can just to say hear it in the garden!!
On the MP3 server, Winamp is running playing all the tracks in a 'shuffle'
arrangment and this is broadcast over the LAN (and WLAN) using the
Shoutcast
plugin (available on www.winamp.com) and the pc's tune into it using
Winamp's
Play Location.
I've had this working on a LAN with the server and 2 clients and the music
was
simultaneous - I need to load the LAN to see if under load, it's still
going to
work.

Hope this Helps!
