Re: Remotes

I can understand the arguement for remaining loyal to a 'hi-fi specialist'
=
for example.

I've done this. I've bought from a specialist because they've given me
goo=
d service, provided a demonstration, cup of tea etc, . I wouldn't then go
=
and buy the same thing from Richer Sounds etc. In the case of the Pronto
95=
0, I did my own research amd didn't have a demonstration. I posted and
rea=
d opinions on remotecentral before buying, so if anything I should be
loyal=
to them ?

Unbeatable don't have the best reputation, but I thought I would give then
=
a go. They delivered the remote promptly, and with no problems.=20=20

Yep fair enough point but then if I want hi-fi I go to a specialist and n=
ot
some "box shifter" even if I do have to pay a bit more to get the
service
and the knowledge required to sell high tech equipment. I very much doubt
that many of the retailers will want to know you as soon as the 12 months=
is
up which, IME at least, is very much not the case with any of the three
retailers I mentioned.

Indeed, to a point. I'm always one for a bargain or a better price, but n=
ot
at the cost of service and backup.

It'll probably come down to volumes I'd imagine maybe if we bought a bit
more some of the prices would drop a bit.
