Wafting around the internet looking to see if there is mac software
for HomeVision and I come across a site in the US selling the X10 Lamp
Modules for $3.99!! That's =A32.50!!! That's half the price of the
Energy Efficient bulb I bought yesterday to try to extend the life of
my LM15. Even their normal price is $8.99 (=A35.50). I've just paid
=A323.50 for the UK version. I could only afford one!

I'm beginning to think it would be cheaper to stick a huge great
transformer on the mains cable coming into the the house and declare
myself the 51st state of the Union!

How do they ever expect this kind of thing to take off here when
everything is so grossly over-priced? I cannot conceive that it costs
*so* much more to build one that runs at 240v 50hz rather than 110v
60hz! And if they start whinging about supply and demand then they
need to market the product at a sensible price, then and only then
will demand take off! I am absolutely livid that I'm paying so much
for something that blatently only has the build quality of something a
5th its price. It seems with X10 units you most certainly do NOT get
what you pay for.

Mumble...rant...spit...

Sorry....I feel slightly better now I've got it off me chest!
