Have you read this disclamer at 123reg ?

"DNS
This tool allows you to modify the zone file that holds the DNS
information for your domain name. It will only work if your
nameservers are pointing to ns.hosteurope.com and
ns2.hosteurope.com - if you have changed the nameservers away, the
above will have no effect.

Be very careful when altering things like this, if you were to
remove the 'www' record for instance, your web forwarding (if set
up) would fail."

I think it's self explanatory, isn't it ?
