Hi Gareth

Yep it does it all except receive a fax to any machine. You can even
scan on the 3330 and get it to print on a colour printer. The device can
be used as either flat bed or with the document feeder. Drop your docs
to be scanned into feeder and access via any pc setup. It does come with
some software but I just use the normal windows camera/scanner wizard or
import in the usual office apps. If you need more specific info drop me
a line off list, I think the jetdirect was a model 310 but a can soon
check when I go in the office next.

hmmm - maybe it does answer it ?

So, you CAN scan from any machine ? Would you mind enlightening me how
this works in practice ?? If I have to buy a USB Print Server I will
(LinkSys do a cheaper one that JetDirect)

Much appreciated !

Hi

We have just bought a hp laserjet 3330 multi function which has only usb
but we also got the new jet direct print server which supports usb so
that we can use it on the network. It works fine print, copy, fax and
scan from any machine. Does not answer your question but is a solution
if nothing else comes along.

Chaps

I'll be buggered if I can find one - I currently have a parallel printer

connected to a HP JetDirect Print Server - but now want to replace with
an
all in one printer which only has USB !

Anyone seen a converter to go from USB Printer to Parallel port ? Not
the
other way around ??

Stopped at the last hurdle it seems...
