chris it says I cannot use an ip address in the nameservers - here is an
extract of
what they require.

You can change the name servers for a domain name as often as you like but
it may take up to 48 hours for the new information to be updated around the
Internet.

You must provide at least two different nameservers for the change to
succeed.
If the nameservers you are trying to use are within the domain
yourdomain.co.uk (eg ns.yourdomain.co.uk) you will be prompted for an IP
address. You should not specify an IP address in the box below as this is
not valid and will not work.

Yes - for www.yourdomain.com and yourdomain.com.  Then in iis create a new
web site specifiing your host headers (www.yourdomain.com port 80 and
yourdomain.com port 80) on that site and away you go.
