Re: [OT]Broadband campaign

V close to the exchange but to no avail as no ADSL here yet :(=20

Not exactly sure how the wireless provider does it but I assume he buys a
b=
ig pipe & then provides wireless access via a distribution point with
line =
of site to those connected?? Not sure yet what the contention ratio will
be=
yet but have asked the question.

Bah Humbug,

you need to check your distance from the exchange (dial 17070) >5.5Km
and=
you are in the same boat I am - 64K and like it!

Not that I am in any way jealous you understand.....

he country - maybe we should keep it this way :)

Followed up your tip & it looks like we could have wireless broadband
h=
ere at 2MBit/Sec upload and download within the next 2 -3 months at
=A329.9=
9 per month:)

Hopefull (but not holding my breath!!)

Decided to bite the bullet and see if I can get some interest going=
in
getting broadband in this sleepy picturesque Welsh village that I h=
ave
moved to (currently 74 registations - need 250!)

I know that a number of people on the list have been down this rout=
e.
There's lots of advice around about what to do but any personal vie=
ws
on
what works well to generate interest would be much appreciated!

TIA

John
