RE: [OT] Irish mobiles
This prompts a question from me - does anyone know of a source that'll tell
me the mobile pre-fixes for most countries across Europe? Basically, we'll
be sending text messages across Europe to numbers we don't know whether
they're mobiles or not, so we just need to add some logic to avoid sending
messages to landlines (which we'll get charged for).
Thanks
Pete

Having just joined ... delighted to be able to answer this!
3 Mob service Operators in Ireland - Meteor, O2 and Vodafone
The format of the Mob Numbers is-
xxx - Operator
yyy zzzz - Individual Subscriber Nr.
The (xxx) Operator numbers are - 085, 086 and 087
To call an 085 number from within the country, on either a landline or a
mobile, simply dial 085 yyy zzzz. To call from outside the country, dial
+353 85 yyy zzzz.
