Graham, I think, was after a method to "alarm" when a normal
voice call approached 1 hour's duration so the call could be redialled thus
saving BT charges.
A solution was proposed which involved a modem, TTS announcements etc.
However, CPC sell a piece of kit which monitors "internet" phone
calls and can be programmed to drop the line / prohibit a connection once
the "allotted time" has been used up. An warning is given 5mins
before the time expires, has password protection etc.
I was trying to find this at the time but no joy. Opened the CPC catalogue
this morning and happened to go straight to it.
