Subject: [ukha_d] A SWMBO approved HA success.

I was sitting in the lounge this morning, coffee in hand thinking of going
to work when suddenly the light switched on. That's odd I thought to
myself, maybe it's the X-10 gremlins or wifey again..... A minute later
the light gently dimmed down to nothing - oh nuts I thought, the wall
switch is playing up. A minute later though the light cycled back up to
full brightness (I don't move too quickly that time in the morning).

................... Then it dawned on me. I had installed a level sensor
in the sewage drain outside and programmed HomeVision to cycle the light
every minute by way of a warning. I checked it out and sure enough kids
and too much loo roll had blocked the drain. Wifey having a bath filled it
and HV did its job. It was easy to clear it and restore everything to
normal and this time I didn't have to power wash the patio down with
disinfectant either.

This has been sitting there for over a year since installation and I had
not given it a second thought in all that time. It was really nice when it
paid for itself in saved cleaning costs and effort today.

Roll on more devices in the home I say.

Ian
