Actually got round that problem. Had a conversation with a particular
ISP who recognised that a) they would have no business at all if we
didn't do it (2meg ADSL line), b) everyone would be using a BT dialup
and thus giving them even more money and c) we would move to that ISP
once our exchange allowed it.

So the ISP were cool and if I had moved there I would have done it.
Shame really, would have been kinda fun.
