Or option number three ... build a wireless LAN where she lives.
When I nearly moved house two years ago, the nearest broadband
connection was around 1/2 mile away. Did the costings and could have
built a decent wireless system for around =A33k. Splitting that between
the 20 or so people around who sounded interested and it seemed
possible.
But that is probably way too complicated :-)
