Cobblers mate. There is a very large selection of freely available music
released direct by the artist. If you like jazz, take a peep at
http://www.charliehunter.com/
mp3 are currently inactive, but they are
refreshed regularly [as I downloaded the mp3 vol 2 just a couple of
weeks ago].

You might also want to look at http://www.peoplesound.com/

There are MANY other artists that release material for free. It's not
cheeky at all for BT to use it to advertise, it's accurate.
