I have a big problem with spam also.  I post to several lists and my email
address is harvested from the archives.  I use POPFile to filter it out, it
is 99.14% accurate to date (it provides me with statistics).  I could just
change my "reply to" address, but I want people on the lists to
be able to
use my email address.  If you are using a POP3 mail system, I would
strongly
recommend POPFile http://popfile.sourceforge.net/
It is free and open source
too!
