I was only thinking of that route because of the transformers. Doing the
cbus course we were sitting in a room with a bunch of them buzzing away
and it was really irritating. I suppose of they are in the ceiling void
or the loft I won't be able to hear them.

I'm not able to make the meet for the two days. I may be able to pitch
up on the Saturday, but aren't sure yet. I've got the cbus board I did
on the course, so have the basics, but wouldn't mind seeing the new
switches in action. Also, if I receive my PC interface (they'd run out)
in time, and can do some coding, I've got some good ideas for software
based control solutions.

I'm actually planning MCBs between the Cbus dimmer and the lighting
circuit. That was recommended to me. There's nothing very beefy about my
circuits - 6 halogens will be the most on any one. Cable will be in free
air (ceiling void and loft), buried (walls), and may run alongside
insulation. I can protect easily though.

Thanks

Dave
