RE: iPAQ car-mount options?

John,

RAM do a whole range of mounts, which are very adaptable (handle bar mount,
dash mount, window mount etc). I use two of these, one with a sucker on the
end which stick very well to the GRP on the RIB, the other screwed down
permanently. The mounts are basically ball and socket type mounts and come
in loads of differentt configurations at either end suitable for laptops,
pda's etc etc. I purchased mine from:

http://www.gpsw.co.uk/acatalog/GPS_Categories___RAM_Products___22.html=20

The RAM website with all sorts of nice piccies is at:

http://www.ram-mount.com/

Prices vary but seem to be around =A320 Hope this helps.

Sitting here looking at my IPAQ in its navman jacket sitting in its holde=
r
on the desk.

Sounds like what we need is a cut down version of the holder (but a bit
nicer looking esp without the Ipaq in) that would sit somewhere convenien=
t
on the dash & just need to push the IPAQ & Navman jacket into -
thats the
theory anyway. Have been looking around but like you all I can see is the
standard fitting !
