The problem I'm having at the moment is with movie playback ...

... I can play back DVD movies using DVD Region X fine. However if I try to
play back DVD movies using XBMP from the DVD directly, from the internal
hard disc or from the network then the playback video stutters noticeable a
couple of times a second. (The audio is OK.)

It's as though the player software is either dropping or inserting frames
but it doesn't seem to be.

I had assumed it was because it was a UK (PAL) Xbox and might have been
trying to display a US (NTSC) image but frame dropping to get down to 25
frames a second however trying it last night with UK (PAL) versions of
Ocean's Eleven and xXx gave the same results.

The whole reason for looking at this is to try to get an easy to use
Network
Attached movie player working given that my autochanger's gone *phut* ...
I'm only gonna need about 8 of the 250Gb drives to hold the movies I have
already! ;-)
