I'd recommend avoiding Maxtor drives - I bought two 80Gb drives a long
time ago for upgrading my TiVo. The first disk only survived for a couple
of months before it died and I had to get it replaced. Last week the
replacement and the remaining original drive both started failing. Glad I
got them before the warranties all got reduced to 1 year, but I've still
been TiVo-less since Thursday :(
