Dear All

Now I have just finished the majority of my downstairs of the barn my
thoughts are moving upwards. (Quickly skip past the master bedroom where
SWMBO and I have distinctly differing ideas!)

So now my thoughts are on the hallway and galleried landing smack in the
centre of the barn. I've decided to go a little insane on this one and
have a few ideas:

1) I MUST HAVE some form of colour kinetics. I was ready to order some
kit from www.njd.co.uk (Thanks to Keith Doxey for the earlier post.) but
if Ians bulk buy does the trick I may save a load of cash.

2) I am thinking also about having some sort of video wall to display a
changing picture or pictures or possibly just a number of TFT wall
panels which will be used as 'picture frames'.

So as far as I can see I have a few options:

1) Project the image on to the wall. How big a picture can I get and
what is the brightness like? I do not really need video so is there a
cheaper option that would link to a PC and show images? I can't use a
standard slide projector as it would be mounted in the ceiling which is
a good 20ft high and thus changing slides would require a scaffold
tower!!!

2) Mount a number of independent TFT screens back to a PC. Anyone know
of some *cheap* wall mount TFT sources?

3) Go completely mad and get up to 8 cheap TFT screens. Anyone know how
you display one picture across multiple monitors as in a 'video wall'
format?

For those that think I have completely flipped....your right.

I'm not even going to tell you about the sound controller, smoke machine
and disco lighting. All to be hidden in recessed alcoves for party mode!

Yours ever barmy.

Rob
