I believe that the woman who washes my shirts uses a similar
technology.

Personally, this is my model - I hire experts to carry out these tasks, and
have very little understanding of how their internal processes work.

However, I am assured that drying clothes this way has excellent energy
saving, and environmental credentials.

Hmmm.

Well, our own leccy bill is now frightening, since myself and Jenni are
both
working from home, so in an attempt to reduce it somewhat, we have taken
to
hanging our wet clothes, outside, from a rope.

No machines or electronics are involved, there's no mechanism to tell if
the
clothes are dry, and you have to leave them for most of the day!

I'm positively disturbed....
