If it is what I am thinking of, then it uses 36 (3x12) lumileds
(www.lumileds.com) emitters more info here
http://www.luxeon.com/products/products_index.html .  I have one of the red
ones to play with and it is well bright.  Needs an aluminium PCB though for
heatsinking and the LED is glued onto the PCB as well as soldered!

Jon

Hi all

Ok the latest.

A group of us saw these units today and between us we bought three units. I
now have all three to test. The results are
1st unit fully working.
2nd unit one red LED is faulty.
3rd unit DOA. However I am an electronics engineer and have located the
fault, just don't have a spare here to replace it with. The part that's gone
is around 20p from RS!

The units come in there original boxes and look brand new, the instructions,
mounting screws all in the box.

Most of the parts are available the LED's are not like any I have seen
before, but one scrap unit could repair many.

The units are very good I took some pics but pics of light are not to good!
plus we are out of space in the files section.

If the people that are still interested could let me know some idea's of
numbers they would want I will try to contact the gentleman tomorrow
although it may be Monday before I can get in touch.

These may have gone as they are very cheap or we may be lucky, I'll try my
best.
