Re: Electricity Bill

Due to the fact I work at home the company I work for give me an
allowance to help with the leccy bill, however I would like to keep
the bill as low low as possible therefore can anyone suggest
solutions on the following:-

Are TFT Monitors that much better than CRT from a power consumption
perspective?, does anyone have actual numbers?, monitor tends to be
on for 10+ hours a day 5 days a week on average.

Can someone please suggest the minimum power supply specs I should be
looking at for the following:-

NT4 Server on 24/7 (also runs exchange)
Via Epia 800
2 X 40 Gig HD Maxtor 7200
1 X HP Surestore 7200 CD Writer (old but works)
Mounted in 1U Case

SME Server on 24/7
Via Epia 800
3 X 120 Gig 5400 Maxtor (Raid Array)
Mounted in 2U rack case

Also looking to the future what would I need to run the SME server
with 5 disks in it

thanks in advance

Paul
