RE: java enabled phones for home automation
Ian,
Its a pleasure hearing from you. If you dont mind can I mail you
off-list
if i get at any point over the weekend. Im committed to getting
an
obligatory hello world program on my phone before the end of the
weekend.
As to your HA system it sounds very interesting although I must confess
that
I must complete my own project. Theres a definite sense of devotion
to my
project just because its such a huge learning curve (well the hardware
side
of things at any rate!).
Im very interested in finding anyone (whom you might already know) whos
using proxied jini on a mobile device such as this but if I find this
approach too difficult I may look to a servlet/ejb type approach and
keep
the server side more simple.
have you found the 30k restrictions ok? likewise any problems with
the sdk
i should be aware of?
thanks
kieran

Just borrowed a 6310i from our test team :-) so I can try out some dev
code.
They wouldn't let me have a 7650 for the weekend :-(
