RE: LCD TFT Monitors

I don’t know, but I have seen “budget” monitors in the past and they tend not to be nearly as crisp. I’d rather have pivot than 18” though, as I spend well over 70% in portrait modenow I have it…

Thanks Tim it is a nice looking bit of kit.

Do you (or anyone) have a view on the Dabsvalue model link below when compared to the Iiyama?

Doesnt pivot but is an 18 inch for 400 + VAT which is a big difference in price

Bought one recently, and spent hours scouring the ‘net. Iyama AS4332 from dabs.com for 545 + VAT.

17” 1280x1024

Pivot

USB four port hub

2 DVI inputs

Svideo plus composite input

Fantastic image, and as a bonus it looks nice, but I’m sure if you wanted to you could distress it a bit…

As the screen on my HA PC is just about to give up the ghost I am thinking
of upgrading my main PC to a TFT and using its screen on the HA PC.

Does anyone have any views on any good (but not outrageously expensive) TFT
screens.

Specs would need to be minimum 17 inch (possibly larger) and pivot would be
nice if it works. I am not too bothered about looks or size as this will be
in my study which is off limits.

Thanks
Mick
