RE: Fibre optic lighting

Just the thing - CPC 2003 catalogue, p827, "Decorative Fibre Optic
Light
Kits"

Kit 1: 100 multicolour fibres between 2-5 metres long, with light source
(continuous colour rotation or fixed colour) =A383.95+VAT
Kit 2: 120 multicolour fibres all 2 metres long, with light source
(continuous colour rotation or fixed colour) =A3144.25+VAT (don't know why
it's so much more expensive)

Been looking at them myself for a "fibre-optic curtain" to drape
over an
otherwise plain wall...

Subject: [ukha_d] Fibre optic lighting

A friend of a friend of mine wants to light up the ivy on his exterior wall
using some type of fibre optics threaded through it. Is this possible, and
if so, has anyone ever done it and can offer some advice, or any useful
links/suppliers?

It sounds a bit naff to me, but it=92s what he wants, and he seems to have
enough spare cash to spend it on this sort of thing.
