...but picture the scene.

At 1805, a medium height caucasian male, with shaved hair and jeans appears
at London Bridge station, accompanied by a short caucasian female.

Approximately 5 minutes later, they are approached by a smartly-dressed 6'
caucasian male. They exchange a few words, then he reaches into his pocket
and hands over some money.

On receipt of the money, the first male signals to the female, who reaches
into the "front pocket" of her anorak, and extracts 4 (four)
small packets, wrapped in paper. She hands them to the second male, who
then disappears.

Was this a drugs handover?

No, officer, it was the handover of some leading-edge technology, recently
brought in from the US, and currently unavailable in the UK.
