An HP Laserjet 4600 (17ppm colour) printer has
just
fallen off the back of an order (not cheap at 1200 quid, but the same
features
would have cost 5 grand a year ago, and this one is
free).
At the moment it is connected to one of the
workgroup
PCs which is again connected to the rest of the network via a wireless
card.
Printer use isn’t going to be huge.
Is there going to be much of an advantage in
connecting the printer directly to the TCP/IP network, and if so can anyone
point me in the direction of a wireless -> wired gateway. I know I could
buy
a WAP11, but I’d like to keep it on the cheap side for the time
being…
