Well, the way I'd work it out is ....

My server has a 150W PSU, so that's the most it'll ever consume.  So o= ver a
year, it can only ever consume 0.15x8760 =3D 1314kwh.  That works out = at
=A352.56 at 4p/kwh, to =A378.84 at 6p/kwh which is what my electricity runs= at.
That's at full tilt too!  The processor is actually rated at under 10W= at
full tilt, so if I removed all the extraneous pieces, such as extra HDDs, CD-RW, CD-ROM, etc. I could probably save half that.  Bearing in mind = that
my machine is idle most of the time, I doubt it costs more than =A350/year.=

If I were to base the same calculations on my 250w PSU in the Athlon 600, things would be a lot different (=A387.60 - =A3131.40).  There's a rea= son my
main server is a P200!
