I remember reading your website with great interest in your
project!! And
then browsing around the autobahn stormers website and drooling over lotus
carltons
and lotus omega’s … *back in the
day*
Hmmm.. a v8 omega, which would one would you use for the base of the
project ?? a 3.0 or so ? with all the ‘posh-pack’ (leather etc)
cant beat the
sound of a properly tuned v8, especially if you’ve heard one with a
blower on
it … *grins
widely*

Electricity Bill (and V8's)
I
would
buy more HA gadgets if mine was only 22 quid. I am going to be doing some
checking to see what is drawing the higher power.

Yes
I
am the one with the V8 Carlton. Why do you ask?
I
am
actually looking to do it all over again next year with an Omega but this
time
make it a road car instead of a race car.

My 'leccy bill is a
whopping £22 per month.
On an OT note, are you
the
guy who took the engine out of a 1.8 carlton and put in a great big v8 and
sorted the car to look similar to a holden ? or a car from Aus used in
track
racing? .. just wondered.

Electricity Bill
Blimey, I wish mine was as low as that. Last
bill
was 292 GBP and I only
have 2 PC's running 24/7 and only 1 has a monitor that is off all the
time
except for maybe 1-2 hours a night.
I blame the tumble drier and the kettle (SWMBO has a habit of filling
the
bloody thing nearly full just to make 1 cup of tea which I keep nagging
HER
about)
PC's are not that expensive to run 24/7 if you use them each day
because
powering them up and down is not good for reliability in my opinion.
This
was the reason we used to keep the ROV (submersible) switched on
24/7
offshore as the old way was to power it down when not working but
this
caused so many problems itself.
