Wireless peer to peer

Has anyone succesfully set up their wifi cards in a peer to peer
configuration?

I have cards in my Fujitsu & lappy, and they're both setup with IP's.
The
client tool that comes with them is able to see both cards, and XP can
see
the network name I set up on the Fujitsu.

They cannot ping each other though.

Any ideas anyone?
