Re: PC to TV

I am waiting at the moment for my ACORN Electron + Serial expander that I got on Ebay. I am hoping I can use the serial thingy to send stuff to it. These old home computers were designed to output to the telly weren't they?

Subject: [ukha_d] PC to TV

Hi,

Anyone out there managed to get a decent output to TV from their PC.

Im wanting to pipe my PC screen over the coax around the house so i can monitor the HA software, use things like
CallerID etc.

Ive tried with an old-ish Hauppauge card and also with a new ATI card both are very-very poor through composite and S-VHS
connections - i only seem to be able to read the text in 640x480 mode which aint much good.

So if anyone can recommend a good PC-TV converter which they have use succesfully on a normal (Non-progressive scan TV)
id love to hear from them.

Cheers

Jim
