Open up your Netgear AP, you will find the rubber duck ariel things actually
have a right angle MCX style connector inside them. (I suspect anyway: the
belkin opne is supposed to be the same unit with different firmware)

RS components do the MCX connector used on a 30cm tail to ease connection.

Looking at my AP , the aerials don't seem to be a screw on type, but just
some plastic sheathing that covers a wire sticking up.

So, question is, I presume the signal output is more of a parabolic shape,
so which way do the aerials go, and does one send and one receive ?
