New board I am using for the first time, ASUS A7V333 has a "scheduled
power
on"
where you can set it to come on at regular intervals.
You can use at to schedule a shutdown, and the Mobo to schedule the power
on
again.
Rather more acute question is why? it seems to be just asking for boot
problems...
Ian.

You should be able to do this purely in a software way if your PC is
modern
enough i.e. BIOS timed wakeup and scheduled ('attime' is it called?)
shutdown.
