It uses the standard WINLIRC hardware Ian.

The WINLIRC link on Dan's page takes you here:

which describes the hardware needed.

It's a bit rough knocking the guys efforts without downloading the file to
give it a try. :P
The help menu in the app contains all of the IR hardware info, circuit
diagrams etc.

I'm a bit busy with the DHA Archive and xAP stuff just now, but the hardware
looks absolutely noddy to knock together: there's not even a PIC involved!

Hi Dan

There is not enough info on the site e.g. how does the IR signal get into
the PC. I have not downloaded the software so have not looked at the files
there in.
