Should be fine a Cisco 827 does the job nicely the Vigor ones should do it too, the asus ones do but i wouldnt get one if you want a long term plan.

Ipcop should cope but im no expert in that field - certainly with my linux firewall it works.

Kind Regards,

Subject: [ukha_d] ADSL thingy....

What do I need:

I want something to sit between my ADSL line and my IPCOP firewall. The "something" is, I assume, a router.

The ADSL line will, I hope, have 5 IP addresses (well 8 minus network, minus broadcast, minus router).

I assume that the ADSL line will plug into the "router". The router's ethernet port will be crossover-d into the firewall.

How sophisticated is IPCop???

I want quite a lot of translations / hiding from different zones into others?

What router do I want?

M.
