RE: Robomow???

Actually... no... they have thought this through!

If you clip grass small enough, you can rely on it to degrade fast enough even if left in situ... (surface area / volume argument, which is obviously much better if you cut very fine, which means cutting very small sections off at a time.)

The problem is, to clip it small enough, you need to clip it often, which in Western Europe means 2-3 times a week.

As such, the Robomow only really works if you run it _all_ the time, and it mows _daily_ in the spring and su(mmer. It isn't something you can roll out once a fortnight, because that would create too big a section of grass to degrade.

With these mowers, you need to cut the grass short BEFORE you install them.... it's a "keep grass short" device, not a "make grass short" device, IYSWIM.

My own view is that these are going to come down in price big-time over the next couple of years, AND they are an ideal app. for solar power, AND I hate lawns and am gradually turning mine into flower beds.... so I won't be getting one :-)

Regards,

Mark

Good idea!

However, where would the grass clippings go ? .. left on the lawn I presume  .. meaning you gotta rake ‘em all up !

But apart from that, I’d be ordering one tomorrow if I had the cash
