Squabling aside - as Gerard says, both Ericsson and Motorola are
partners with Symbain and certainly the P800 uses the Symbian OS,
like the Nokia 7650. However, Nokia do have their Series 60 platform
which is a UI layer on top that they license back to other partners. Nokia<= BR> are good at this UI layer, but I would not say they were that much advanced= .
The comment that the T68 software is laughable is a bit much though.
Much of this comes down to what you are familiar with - I lived for
years as a Nokia fan, but like many I got a T68 - sure as a Nokia
user I struggled while I learnt the differences - but now I find it as
good as the Nokia interface. Both have their equal share of problems
as well as their highlights though. I would suggest that if you are a
Nokia user you would think that after casual use of the T68.

As for phones with cameras built in - I think the 7650 is ok for a first attempt. Ericsson have a couple of cameral phones which one could
argue are as good if not better. Why would you want this? Well I want
it so that I can take a photo if I need to - ie perhaps I have an accident = -
I would like to photograph things but don't always carry a camera, but
I always carry my phone. Sure I'll still use my main digital camera for
holiday snaps though.

Another interesting use is from Bango which can be read about on
h= ttp://bango.net/corporate/media/releases/26_intlwireless.asp

The thing that worries me about Nokia is that they are good at
design but not so good at implementing many of the innovations
they have - the current communicator for example is the same
ugly brick (give or take a few millimeters) they released years ago.
It's taken Ericsson to move the bar up with the P800. Even things
like the O2 XDA and other Pocket PC phones are too bulky to
carry or have weird ways of using them via headsets. Then there
are the Handspring devices - top marks for lack of design skills
there.

Bov!
